1. Consultation on draft AHDB Corporate Plan 2012-2015

An eight week consultation for levy payers and other agriculture and horticulture industry stakeholders was recently held to get feedback on the draft AHDB Corporate Plan 2012-15.

Within the Plan the AHDB Board is recommending an increase to the AHDB levy rate for potatoes in Great Britain. In 2010, we introduced a three year programme of small incremental potato levy increases and this is the final 3% increase to allow growth in potato levy-payer-facing activities. The levy rates for the other five AHDB sectors are recommended to remain unchanged from the existing 2011/12 rates (see page 23 of the Plan).

A copy of the consultation letter and the draft AHDB Corporate Plan 2012-15 can be downloaded from the links below. A copy of our six detailed sector-focused business plans that sit underneath this Plan, can also be downloaded from this page.

The eight week consultation closed at 17.00 hours on Tuesday 17 January 2012.

In our business planning process, we have considered the key challenges and opportunities facing the UK agriculture and horticulture industry through a PESTLE analysis. (Political, Economic, Sociological, Technological, Legislative and Environmental). A copy of this analysis can be downloaded below:
