Patrick Loten

Pat spent 40 years working on an outdoor pig unit in the south of England; for 30 of those years, he managed 2,500 sows, producing 7 kg weaners. Pat joined AHDB in 2018 as a knowledge exchange manager in the south of England. Pat manages our Gilt Watch programme, investigating factors that affect gilt retention and the effect of optimising parity profile throughout the breeding herd.
