Description of the charts and infographics

Data is averaged over the three-year period 2019‒2021.

  1. The first bar chart shows UK exports to CPTPP of all commodities, from machinery and transportation to foot/headgear. It shows that the highest value of UK exports are for machinery and electricals, totalling over 7 billion. For foodstuff exports total around 1.6 billion and animal product exports total around 200 million.
  2. The first infographic shows that 51% of foodstuff exported to CPTPP were whiskey.
  3. The first pie chart shows the breakdown of UK foodstuff exports to CPTPP, including such diverse products as animal fodder and tobacco. Beverages, spirits and vinegar are the largest single category, at 67%. Note that the foodstuff category does not include vegetable products or animal products.
  4. The second bar chart shows UK imports from CPTPP, using the same list of commodities as the earlier bar chart. For foodstuff exports total around 1.3 billion and animal product export total around 500 million.
  5. The second infographic shows that 54% of foodstuff imported from CPTPP were wines of fresh grapes.
  6. The second pie chart shows the breakdown of UK foodstuff imports from CPTPP by % of value, including the same categories as the first pie chart. Beverage, spirits and vinegar are the largest single category, at 64%. Note that the foodstuff category does not include vegetable products or animal products.
  7. The third pie chart shows the breakdown of UK meat exports to CPTPP, by % of value. Offal was the largest category at 50%.
  8. The fourth pie chart shows the breakdown of UK dairy exports to CPTPP by % of value. Cheese and curd was the largest category at 58%.
