Dr Paul Unwin

Paul comes from a farming background and was born on a mixed farm in Mid Wales. He runs pedigree flocks of Welsh Mountain sheep with his wife in the south Shropshire hills and previously ran a successful Boer goat operation. Paul is passionate about innovation and evidence-based research in farming at grass-roots level and is actively engaged in a diverse range of government-funded innovation programmes.  Recently, Paul stepped down from chairing a government-backed strategy steering group in advanced manufacturing.  Previously, he was the founding CEO of a globally renowned medtech company.
