Join us for the AHDB Challenge Sheep meeting, hosted by Chris Stoate of the GWCT Allerton Project at Loddington. There will be an opportunity to discuss the results from the Challenge Sheep project (long-term project on factors affecting lifetime performance of ewes) with Liz Genever, independent sheep consultant. Results up to weaning for the Challenge Sheep ewes from Abbey Farm will be available, so the impact of a better grass year should be seen. Chris Stoate will provide an overview of the research being carried out into leys at Loddington, including a walking tour of the herbal leys research site, and will lead discussion on how this work could influence future agri-environment policy.
